Privacy Policy

SemaX OS ("SemaX", "we", "us") builds software that audits a website, writes and publishes content for it, and reports on the results. This policy explains what information we collect, why, who we share it with, and the choices you have. If anything here is unclear, write to hello@semaxgrowth.com. Our address: Buea, Cameroon.

Information we collect

Account details: your name, email address and a password (stored only as a one-way hash), or your Google account name and email if you choose "Continue with Google".
Your business and website: the website address you give us, what we find when we scan it (pages, titles, speed, links, technology), your business description, audience and goals, and the articles and changes SemaX prepares or publishes for you.
Connections you authorise: access to your WordPress or Shopify site, and read access to Google Search Console, Google Analytics and Google Business Profile (see "Google user data" below).
Leads and messages: enquiries that arrive through your site or through our contact forms and chat.
Payments: the plan you buy, the amount and a payment reference. Card and mobile money details are entered with the payment provider and are not stored by us.
Technical data: basic logs such as IP address, browser type and the pages you open, used for security and to fix problems.

How we use it

To run SemaX for you: scan your website, find opportunities, write and publish content, report results and show your dashboard.
To take payments, send receipts, and send you account and security emails.
To send news and product updates, only where you have asked for them or are a customer. Every news email has an unsubscribe link.
To keep the service secure, prevent abuse and improve how it works.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for advertising.

Google user data

If you connect Google, SemaX asks only for the access it needs:

Google Search Console (read-only): to show you which searches and pages bring visitors, and to choose what to improve.
Google Analytics (read-only): to show traffic and engagement for the property you choose.
Google Business Profile: to read details of the business listing you choose, so content and recommendations match it.
Sign-in with Google: your name and email, to create and open your account.

We use this data only to provide and improve these features for you inside SemaX. We do not sell it, we do not use it for advertising, we do not allow people to read it except where you ask for support, where it is needed for security or to follow the law, and we do not use it to develop or train generalised artificial intelligence models.

SemaX's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

You can disconnect Google at any time from your dashboard (Integrations), and you can also remove SemaX's access at myaccount.google.com/permissions. When you disconnect, we delete the stored Google access keys.

Who we share it with

Only with the services that help us run SemaX, and only what each one needs:

Hosting and email delivery providers that store our data and send our emails.
Payment providers (for example mobile money and card or crypto processors) to take your payment.
AI providers that process text to write articles, answer questions and produce recommendations for your account. Your data is sent to them only to produce your own results, not for them to train general models on it.
Search and website data providers that supply keyword, ranking and speed information. These receive keywords and web addresses, not your personal details.
Your own platforms (WordPress, Shopify) when you ask us to publish there.

We may also disclose information if the law requires it or to protect the rights and safety of our users and the service.

How long we keep it

We keep your account data while your account is open. If you ask us to delete your account, we delete your personal data and connection keys, except records we must keep for payments, tax or legal reasons. Backups are overwritten on a regular cycle.

Your choices and rights

See, correct or export your information, or ask us to delete it, by writing to hello@semaxgrowth.com.
Disconnect any integration from your dashboard.
Unsubscribe from news emails with the link in any of them.

Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under local data-protection law. We will respond to genuine requests within a reasonable time.

Security

We protect data with encrypted connections, hashed passwords, encrypted storage of access keys and tokens, and limited access for our team. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a strong, unique password.

Children

SemaX is for businesses and is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect their information.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy in a way that matters, we will update the date above and, for significant changes, tell customers by email or in the dashboard.
